My official goal is to make it to 36 weeks! At my doctor visit on Tuesday I asked Dr.I what a good goal would be for me to reach for. His answer was 34 weeks! But he also said babies born after 32 weeks have virtually no major complication either. But, to avoid the NICU, he said 36 weeks is a good goal! 36 it is! I think we can do it!
I am officially feeling HUGE! Yes I have had a belly for a while, but now I am really noticing it! I don't know how I am going to continue to get bigger! I'm sure my boys will make room though. My skin is very tight now too and I'm really starting to worry about stretch marks. So far I'm free of them, but I almost feel they are inevitable. I've been looking into the Belly Bandit for helping shrink my tummy post labor. I've heard great reviews from people I know as well as seeing it on a couple twin message boards. Have any of you used it or know someone who has? I'm going to work hard to get back into shape as soon as I can. I know the first six weeks I'm going to rely on breast feeding. My mom has always said that she "could eat what ever I wanted while breast feeding and the weight just fell off!" I hope I have a similar experience!
27 week update:
How far along: 27 weeks EXACTLY! I'm on time for once!
How big are the babies: At last weeks appointment, they were measuring 2 lbs and 2.1 lbs, so definitely over 2 now for both!
Total weight gain: I gained 2 lbs this week (29 lbs total)! Woo hoo! I was starting to get worried there! They must be going through another growth spurt because my appetite is back! I've been eating a lot more, especially since reading the Brewers Diet! I want to make sure my boys keep growing at a good rate so I've been making sure I eat enough protein, calcium, etc. I don't want skinny babies!
Maternity Clothes: I am officially HUGE! 90% of my clothes are maternity, but there are some shirts that I can still wear. Unfortunately, they'll most likely be stretched out and not cute anymore after this pregnancy is done.
Sleep: Blah! I had been sleeping great! But last night I tossed and turned and am exhausted today :(
GENDER: Two precious little BOYS!!!! We are more than blessed :)
Movement: Is beginning to freak C out more and more. He likes it for a moment the has to pull his hand away. I had been telling him that I'm feeling less kicks and more rolling movement that goes across my tummy. He felt that last night for the first time and it was "too much!" Ha ha.
Food Cravings: Milk, Milk, and MILK!!!
What I miss: Being able to get up from laying down, I have absolutely NO ab strength anymore. I miss being able to bend over. I miss being able to shave "down there." I can't see and nicked myself the other day, so now I'm scared to do anything! I like it all gone, and lately I'm considering a Brazilian wax (ouch!). I think it might be nice to have that done right before delivery, at least, so that I don't have to worry about grooming when I'm recovering. If I can time it all right, that is!
What I'm looking forward to: Tonight I'm going to my first Moms of Multiples group!
Milestones: 3rd Trimester baby! I'm claiming that now, even though there are mixed views! Some say 26 weeks some say 28. I think, especially because I'm carrying TWO babies it should actually be earlier! I've been measuring about 7-8 weeks ahead this entire pregnancy!
Symptoms: I FEEL HUGE! I think that's a symptom! LOL!

Happy "third trimester"!!!
About the waxing- totally do it! Way better than shaving. Take a couple of tylenol or advil before and it'll help with the pain. Promise.
OK, enough TMI commenting for today.
I just ordered the bamboo belly bandit and am hoping it helps shrink me down post birth. I totally get you on the down there grooming, next to impossible at this point. I have been debating brazillian sugaring which I normally get but have been fearful of the whole lying on the back while having it done issue. I might just suck it up though and get it done, it would be soo much easier!
I hear you on the milk cravings!!! Hubby and I (well, mostly I) went through THREE GALLONS of milk last week.
So glad things are going well - 36 weeks, you can TOTALLY do that! Stay put, babies!
I have been thinking about buying the belly bandit- I wish I knew someone that had personally used one to hear from them if think it worked well.
I am with you on the stretch marks.... as of yet I have none but feel like its probably a losing battle.
I have pretty much been shaving blindly- probably not the smartest :)
Congrats on entering the 3rd trimester.... I am so happy that all has gone smoothly-. I am sure you will reach your goal- only 9 more weeks!
Totally get you on the feeling huge thing! And the shaving "down there". I remember when I told my husband that I couldn't see it anymore he laughed so hard!
You're lucky that you've been sleeping well so far- I have not slept even close decently the entire pregnancy!! My doctor actually told me to take Benadryl at night, but I haven't because I feel like I'll be drugging my babies :(
I've heard that the belly bandit works, but that it's not the most comfortable thing. I'll be buying one anyway- I figure I'll at least give it a shot!
Getting closer! I remember thinking each week that it was impossible for my belly to get any bigger! But it did! Hang in there!
Thanks for your comment! I use photoshop to edit my pictures, once you get the hang of it, it is so much fun!
