My (In)fertile Confessions: Eight Months

This is really late since my boys turn 9 months tomorro, but I wanted to share some pics... ENJOY!

Our IF Journey...

TTC #1

3 IUI's- BFN

1 Clomid-BFN

IVF#1 - 29 eggs+ Rescue ICSI+lots of prayer+ONE 4AA and Morula on a six day transfer=Miracle fraternal twin boys! We are over the moon and beyond blessed!

TTC #3

IVF #2- 37 eggs, ICSI'd 7 eggs, made five blasts, Froze all due to OHSS, and froze the rest of my eggs.

FET #1- transferred one blast! Low beta of 33, miscarried at 6 weeks

FET #2-transferred one blast-BFN

FET #3-transferred one blast-BFN

FET #4- transferred last two- BFP!! Beta 126!!! Beta #2 dropped to 88. Miscarried.

FET #5- Thawed remaining 27 eggs, five didn't thaw, ICSI'd 22, 100% fertilization! By day five, no good embryos, day six we had one 5AA, froze it. FET day, it didn't make the thaw.

IVF #3 LAST and FINAL... April 2016!

Doing Long Lupron, planning on transferring the BEST TWO fresh and PGS testing the rest!

Started Lupron, Stims begin April 9!

July 2008- Threw out BCP

Aug 08- No period, uterine pain, sent for U/S find Bicornuate uterus

Oct 08- HSG test, tubes clear

Nov-March 09- Told to TTC on our own. Cycles 50-80 days

March 09-sent to RE because of uterus and erratic cycles

April 09-Laperoscopy/Hysteroscopy. Diagnosed Septated Uterus with uterine septum removal during surgery

May 09- Office Hysteroscopy to make sure septum is gone... all clear!

June-July 09- TTC on our own. BFN. Traveling in Italy for Anniversary #2!

Aug 09-#1 Follistim/IUI 2 follicles...BFN!

Sept 09- #2 Follistim/IUI 5 follicles... BFN!RE recommends second hysteroscopy possible IVF, I'm not ready and take a break...

October 09-Start acupuncture and herbs, need a break from IF treatments!

October-December 09- TTC on our own, with acupuncture

December'09- Ask RE for metformin for pcos Started 1500 mg of Metformin for PCOS

Jan '10- Finally agree to office hysteroscopy Septum is back! UGH! Total devestation!

Feb '10- Second Uterine septum removal surgery

March '10- office hysteroscopy... ALL CLEAR!

April '10- TTC on our own while we wait for IF cycle... BFN!

May '10- 3rd Follistim/IUI 5-6 follicles... BFN

June '10-? Frustrated!On a break... TTC on our own BFN

Aug '10- Regular Endo upped Metformin to 2250 due to high testosterone levels via blood work (acne reappeared after stopping IF treatments) also gave me 50mg clomid to do unmedicated While in Kauaii for our 3rd anniversary... BFN

Sept '10- Met with new RE, waiting til next cycle to start clomid and possible IUI

Sept/Oct '10- Annovulatory. Take provera to start period (after upped met dose?!)! Changed plans, tired of waiting... IVF here we come!!

Nov '10- BCP, office hysteroscopy (found residual small septum), still moving forward with IVF

Nov 24- Start Lupron

Dec 4- Start Stims (Menopur 75iu and Gonal F 150iu)

Dec 7- upped Gonal F to 225iu

Dec 12- Lowered Gonal F to 75 iu

Dec 13- Triggered 10,000 iu HCG

Dec 15- Egg Retrieval... 29 eggs!!!!

Dec 16- Fertilization Failure. We have our diagnosis! Zero embryo's. Rescue ICSI preformed. Please God!

Dec 17- We Have 5 (miracle) embryo's!! RE wants to do a 3 day transfer

Dec 18- Wait... 13 MIRACLE EMRYO'S!! 4-6 cells on day 2... Moving to a 5 day transfer!

Dec 22- Transfered 2 blastocysts... 1 4AA, 1 early blast

Dec 31, ‘10- FIRST EVER BFP!!!!! BETA 176! PRAISE GOD!

Jan 2, ‘11- Beta # 2 692!!!!

Jan 7, ‘11- TWO sacs… TWINS!!

Jan 14, ‘11- 6 weeks 0 days…two heart beats! Measuring exactly the same

March 23, ‘11 - 15 weeks 6 days... Gender... TWO BOYS!!!

April 10, ‘11- Anatomy scan... Perfectly formed babies measuring 9 oz each! Cervix measuring 4.7 cm!

June '11- I ended up on best rest for the remainder of my pregnancy at my 30 week appointment. I had a funneling cervix. That night I had contractions 2 min apart.

Aug 5, 2011- Rocco Gianni was born at 8:08pm weighing 5 lbs 7 oz and 18.5 inches long! Maximus Matteo was born at 8:09pm weighing 3 lbs 12 oz and 17 inches long! They were absolutely perfect! "I praise you for (we) are fearfully and wonderfully made!" Psalm 139:14
