Cleaning, organizing, and dumping...

all weekend!  C and I spent the weekend cleaning out closets!  We have a two bedroom 1500 square ft town home, which I'm sure we are going to grow out of pretty quick. But, until then, its time to prep for the babies... and man does it feel good!  We literally loaded eight bags of clothes, books, shoes, sheets, towels, etc. into my car to make room in our closet for the stuff that's in the other closet! We also filled up five large storage containers of just stuff... books, blankets, pictures, etc.  Unfortunately because we are still living in a mess due to the construction down stairs we have to leave the storage containers in the babies room until down stairs is finished and we clean out the garage.  My dad has been using the garage for storage for the saws, flooring, doors, etc.  I cannot wait til that is cleaned out!

Anyways, progress is being made!  I'm going to post pics of our crazy house soon!

Mold anyone?

This past week has been a nightmare!  I have been separated from my favorite person!  C is staying at a hotel by his work, and I'm at my parents.  Yes, I love my parents and coming home, but I wish the circumstances were different.  We have been remodeling our house for the past (almost year) and low and behold mold was found! Yuck!  My dad had been installing the new flooring and when he took the base boards off along the outside wall of the house, MOLD!  We live in a town home, so I immediately called the HOA.  Its been a nightmare getting them to move forward with the issue.  It had to go through the board and they had to approve it and send out four different companies for bids.  The whole time, I'm like "I'm pregnant with twins, YOU NEED TO FIGURE THIS OUT NOW!"   They felt the pressure and didn't want a law suit if I got sick.  We were not allowed to stay at our house, so we have been separated :(  Finally today, we are able to go back home, but the job is still not finished and won't be until next week.  Thankfully we have to pay NOTHING because it was all caused from structural damage.  I feel like our monthly HOA bill is finally paying off!

I have enjoyed a nice and very relaxing week here, although my mom has had to work a couple days and I got extremely lonely.  Wednesday, C surprised me and drove out here and stayed the night with me.  It totally made my day and helped with being apart a little longer.

How Far Along: 15 weeks 1 day!

How Big Are the Babies: We've got NAVAL ORANGES people!!  Two of them!!  Now we're getting some where!

Baby's now the size of a naval orange!

Continuing the march toward normal proportions, baby's legs now out-measure his arms. And, finally, all four limbs have functional joints. Your fetus is squirming and wiggling like crazy down in the womb, though you probably can't feel the movements just yet.

Total Weight Gain: No clue!  I've been scale-less for a week.  I'm guessing I'm up another 2 lbs?  My belly is totally getting bigger!

Maternity Clothes: YUP!  Its a love hate relationship!

Sleep: I woke up the last two days at 530am to eat!  I guess we're starting that again!  Yesterday I was hungry every two hours!

GENDER:  5 MORE DAYS!!!!!!  I think I'm going to do a poll... what do you think we're having?  You know what I think, but what do you think?

Movement: Tap tap tap Mommy... we're in here!  I felt them last night for sure and again this morning!  The lightest little taps... so amazing!  I can't wait til I feel Kicks now!

Food Cravings: Last week was sour patch kids so C picked some up for me... sooo not what I remembered!  They weren't sour enough!  Any ideas for really sour candy???  I even sucked on a lemon this week!  Oh, and I Looove pepperincini's! Yum!  Salty spicy, my fav!  And as cliche as it is, pickles...  delish!  I even take a couple sips of pickle juice!  Something I NEVER EVER  thought I would do!  Yuck but yum! LOL

What I Miss: My dear C, the love of my life, the reason I get up every day, the one I live for and will die with.  I miss him more than words can say... I cannot WAIT til tonight  <3 <3 <3

What I'm looking forward to: Going home and sleeping in my own bed with my love, continuing to feel my little bambini kicking or tapping away on my tummy, finding out the gender in 5 more days!!!!!

Milestones: Feeling my little bambini tapping away on my tummy!  I'm am so in love!  Also, the spotting totally stopped Sunday!  Yay!!!!  I haven't had any since and am back to walking and yoga!

Symptoms:One I keep forgetting to post... breathlessness!  I breath so funny now and feel out of breath a lot, since 12 weeks!  I'll take a deep breath and have to blow it out slow.  Its almost like I forget to breath, but no, I'm breathing for THREE!

14 weeks!

How Far Along: 14 weeks today!

How Big Are the Babies:   Okay, peaches seem much bigger to me then lemons, but I guess they are just going by length.  I don't know about you, but I have had some pretty large peaches in my day!  Anyways, we've got lemons!

Babies are now the size of  lemons!
Your adorable little fetuses are busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine, and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys, and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over her body for warmth.

Total Weight Gain: 12 lbs!  Woo hoo!  Just kidding... its totally creeping up!

Maternity Clothes: I am starting to live in them.  I am not loving the Belly band anymore.  My pre preggo pants aren't very comfortable.  I really wish I could live in gym clothes!

Sleep: Hit or miss.  I slept so good the other night then last night, horrible!  I woke up tired today...

GENDER: ONE WEEK SIX DAYS!!!!!  I made an official appointment now!  We are going at 5:30 when C gets off work then meeting our families for dinner for C's bday and going to tell them the news!!

Movement: Still waiting...  But I read that with twins you can feel them as early as 14 weeks!  That's today!

Food Cravings: Okay I have been SERIOUSLY craving sour patch kids!  Sour candies!  I haven't had any!  I don't really like eating candy and sweets and I know its nothing great for me or the babies!  The weird thing is is that I don't remember eating sour patch kids in years!!!  Probably at least 10 years!!

What I Miss: I'm still missing my energy and now I'm missing my yoga!  No exercise til tomorrow!!

What I'm looking forward to: Tomorrow, so I can hopefully get off of this "rest," the spotting to stop, and feeling the babies move.

Milestones: 14 weeks! Now I'm am officially officially in the second trimester.  No one can tell me otherwise ;-)

Symptoms:  I had another debilitating headache yesterday!  I pretty much get them everyday, but sometimes they decide to linger and get really bad I have to lay down.  I also think I've been feeling Round Ligament Pain.  Its sharp throbbing pain in my lower pelvic area on the sides.

Update... fun pics!

Monday I ended up seeing the Nurse Practitioner.  She did an ultrasound so I was able to see the babies.  Both looked great!  Once I saw both moving around the tears began.  I was so relieved that they were okay.  Again, baby B was kicking away moving all around so we weren't able to get a good picture.  The NP also thought she saw a little penis on baby B!  She said, "if I had to guess, Baby B is a little boy!"  We'll see!  Baby A, again, was calm and relaxed.  She was laying there, stretching out her legs. We got a shot of her with her arm behind her head and she was rubbing her face with the other hand!  It was adorable!

**Updated**These are both of baby A, baby b was too wild!
                                     See those long legs!?

**Updated**  Arm behind head and hand rubbing her face!
She's her mothers daughter (guessing) I sleep with my arm behind my head!

I have still been spotting brown on and off all week, so I've been put on "rest."  No sex, lifting over 10 lbs, exercise, until Dr. Illeck (the other OB in the practice) can see me Friday.  He is going to check my placenta's, cervix, and look for a subchorionic hematoma (blood clot).  However, I'm thinking it was still from sex because I have just been spotting old blood.  But, I'm thankful they are going to rule everything out :)

Vegas was ok, I pretty much slept the entire trip except for evening events with C's work.  Wednesday was the Chairman's circle event, Thursday all Presidents Club winners cocktail party at the club they rented out, Friday dinner with the So Cal branches, Saturday was the awards gala.  Vegas is DEFINITELY not for pregnant women, and honestly, I don't care to ever go back... I am so Vegas'd out! Oh and C thought the Encore was a smoke free casino, NOTHING in Vegas is smoke free!  As soon as we walked in I saw someone smoking.  I was holding my breath on and off when we would walk through.  Another reason I spent most of my time in the hotel room!  Here are some pics from our trip...

The awards gala... 13 weeks pregnant here!

BIG SCARE...

C talked me into leaving early Tuesday night to Vegas instead of Wednesday morning.  I was actually excited to go ( I hadn't been looking forward to this trip all that much)!  We dropped Oliver off at my parents and hit the road.  I slept most of the way and we arrived to Encore at the Wynn at 11pm (a three hour drive).  I was exhausted!  By the time we were ready for Bed it was close to 1AM.  I went to the bathroom, wiped and there it was, pink tissue.  I look in the toilet and see RED BLOOD!  "Oh my Goodness!" I called C over immediately and showed him the toilet.  He freaked.  I wanted to call my mom, C didn't let me.  He said the best thing to do is wait to see if it gets worse.  I knew he was right.  There was nothing anybody could do.  So I tried to go back to sleep, but tossed and turned.  I prayed and prayed and prayed.  I woke up at 430 and it had stopped.  There was now just a tinge of pink and by morning it was brown.  Thank the Lord!

I called Dr. S and told her what had  happened.  "Have you had sex in the last 24 hours?" I responded, "yes, but it was the the night before!"  She told me that it is very common from sex because of all the extra blood flow to the uterus and cervix.  I am now on "pelvic rest" until she checks me again, which won't be until Monday!  What a way to start a vacation, huh?  I am TRAUMATIZED to say the least!

I have been taking it easy, sleeping a lot, and going to bed early.  Although yesterday we (with Dr. S's permission) took a helicoptor to the Grand Canyon!  It was a lot of fun!  We flew over the Hoover Dam, Lake Meed, The Colorado River, and then had lunch at the bottom of the Grand Canyon!  Amazing!  Its absolutely gorgeous!  I took a bunch of pics which I'll post when we get home.  I hadn't been there since I was a kid, so it was definitely fun to go back with the hubs!

Here is my 13 week update:

How Far Along: 13 weeks 1day

How Big Are the Babies: I've got two peaches in there!  Baby size 2.9 inches and .81 oz.

Up until now, your babies heads have bee proportionally larger then the rest of their bodies  but around this time your babies bodies will start to catch up and grow more proportional to their heads.

If you could peek inside your womb, you could see your babies motor skills staring to work.  Your babies are able to move and flex the arms and legs, but you won't be able to feel this movement until later.

Total Weight Gain: Probably 10 maybe 11?  I haven't weighed myself in a while.  I've been regularly gaining 1-2 lbs a week.

Maternity Clothes: I got two new dresses for this trip, very cute!.

Sleep: Sleep is not good.  I can't wait to be back in my own bed!

GENDER: TWO WEEKS 5 DAYS!!!!  March 23rd!!!

Movement: Still waiting!  I did have a dream I felt them though!  It felt so real!

Food Cravings: Nothing new really. C's company has been providing almost all the food, and it totally sucks!  The other night it was filet mignon, which I normally love, but gag!  I tried a couple bites and couldn't eat it!  It was the first steak I've tried in WEEKS!

What I Miss: My energy.  I'm in Vegas and exhausted!

What I'm looking forward to: My massage later today!  Also, going to see Dr. S on Monday to make sure the babes are A-OK

Milestones: Made it to the SECOND TRIMESTER!!  According to most books, anyway!  Some say week 14, but I'm saying now!

Symptoms: I am literally EXHAUSTED!  I just had breakfast and ready to go back to bed!  I don't think I've been sleeping all that well :-/

What to do what to do...

So I've been taking my Metformin 2250 mg for close to a year now.  I am days away from second trimester.  Both my OB and my Endocrinologist want me to stop the Met by then.  Why am I scared to?  I lowered my dose to 1500mg at 12 weeks, and tonight plan on only taking one pill, 750 mg.  I know there are plenty of PCOS patients who take metformin throughout their pregnancy.  Why do so many doctors have different protocols?  I am partially scared that if I stop, I am going to gain even MORE weight quicker and I will be very nervous about the GD (Gestational Diabetes's) test.  I don't have insulin resistance, but am worried about it being pregnant with PCOS.

If any of you know why some people stay on Met throughout pregnancy, let me know.  Thanks :)
