Cooking...

has been a problem for me lately and I feel like a bad wife.  I don't have morning sickness, I have NIGHT sickness.  Dinner foods totally gross me out!  Finally, the other day, I thought spaghetti and meatballs sounded good.  So I went to Trader Joes and picked up what I needed, because I was sure I was going to be able to eat it!  WRONG!  While I was cooking, all of the smells were too much.  I was craving a bowl of cereal... my go to food!  I can only eat plain foods and I feel like a carboholic, actually.  My hubby enjoyed the spaghetti while I enjoyed my cereal!  There has got to be better options!?

I am in desperate need of "morning sickness" dinner ideas.  If anyone out there has any suggestions, please leave a comment, before my husband leaves me (just kidding!)!

P.S.  Thanks you all so much for the LOVELY comments on our lil twinnies!  I LOVE reading every one of them!! xoxo

I can pretty much only handle gerkin pickles, ham slices, wheat noodles with red sauce, triscuit crackers and colby jack cheese, and the occasional mint chocolate chip ice cream. I'm dying here! What the hell kind of diet it that?

LOL I feel nauseated all day, but can still tolerate about any food... though I'm mostly sticking to plain stuff and crackers. Good luck finding something that works!! :)

Seriously, you NEED to buy "The Well-Rounded Pregnancy Cookbook – 100 recipes that adapt to fit how you feel." It totally saved my life and inspired me to cook again...it even includes modifications for feeling nauseous!

Vegas... you're hilarious! I settled for a waffel with blue berries and a glass of milk for dinner!

Lifebytheday... I googled that cookbook! I just got a barnes and Nobles gift card for my bday so I will check it out! Thanks!

Allison... me too! Plain stuff is just about all I can choke down! I feel like all I want to eat is breakfast foods :)

Cereal is my go-to food as well. I'm still only dealing with hormone shifts from injections/BCP and I am already at odds with foods. Have subtle aversions and weirdest cravings. Strange what hte body goes through, isn't it.

I was around 10-12 weeks pregnant when I realized I hadn't made dinner for my husband since the morning sickness struck at 6 weeks. I mentioned it to him and he told me that because of it he lost 10 pounds!!! I felt bad, but my main goal was finding found each day that I could tolerate.

So, I guess no suggestions because all I could eat were carbs as well!

I have found that soup and saltines is usually okay. I stick with something simple like chicken noodle. I also found that apple juice helps my nausea a lot. You could also try jello - not necessarily the most nutritious thing, but at least it gives you a little variety. :)

Happy ICLW and congrats!!! When I was pregnant with my twins, there were only a few things I could get down (and even then, poorly): Reeces Pieces (!), sourdough bread, watermelon, vanilla milkshakes, cottage cheese and sour candy. I was planning to eat an all organic, superfoods diet and I had to throw all of that out the window. Be kind to yourself :)

Can you have eggs? That would be some protein and that's kind of bland. Happy ICLW!
